Playa la Saladita
If you’re in the mood to eat out, just a short walk away there are several local restaurants along the beach. Take a stroll towards the point and you’ll find Illeanet’s, Pacos and Loot’s Lourdes’ Bar and Grill featuring local seafood and other classic Mexican dishes.
Loot’s Lourdes Bar and Grill: Eclectic Mexican Menu. They usually serve pizza on Thursdays and Saturdays and sometimes you’ll find a live band playing. For more about Loot’s Lourdes.
Troncones
If you’re in the mood for change of pace, a 15 minute drive away there’s a wide selection of delicious restaurants in Troncones.

LOCAL ACTIVITIES
Present Moment Yoga Center: Take a 15 minute drive to Troncones where you can take classes in vinyasa or restorative yoga, meditation, Qigong, Tai Chi or experience one of their rejuvenating spa treatments. For more about Present Moment.
Surf Lessons: Playa la Saladita has a wonderful area just inside of the main break that’s perfect for those wanting to learn how to surf or improve their surfing skills. You can walk down to Lourdes’ Bar & Grill and surf shop and ask what local teachers are available.
Deep Sea Fishing: There are a number of fishing charters in Zihuatanejo and Ixtapa that you can find on the internet to arrange a fishing excursion.
Snorkeling: You can take a boat from the harbor in Ixtapa out to Isla de Ixtapa, a little nearby island with four beaches. Playa Coral is known as a fun place to go snorkeling.
