La Chuparosa was lovingly created as an invitation for our surfing and non-surfing guests to settle into an easy-going rhythm with the natural beauty of the ocean and beach. Our unique, owner-designed buildings and grounds embrace physical comfort and organic style with the lowest environmental impact possible. With locally harvested palapa roofs and filled with handmade furniture from local artisans, our villas and casitas pay homage to the beautiful surroundings and artisans of the region. The beach is just steps from your casita or villa.
We are situated in the ideal spot on the beach just a quick walk to the point and one of the longest left breaking waves on the Pacific coast of Mexico. You can even paddle out right in front of the property if you can’t wait to get in the water!
Our two three-bedroom villas and two one-bedroom casitas surrounding a communal pool have a delightful mix of indoor/outdoor living spaces. You can choose to mingle with other guests or settle in for some private time to nurture and recharge your body and spirit.

The famous left point break of Playa la Saladita works all year round and can handle a variety of swell directions and sizes. From the perfectly shaped smaller waves of the winter months to the bigger summer swells, the rides will probably be some of the longest you’ve ever had. With of a variety of take-off points, it’s enjoyable for advanced surfers as well as those just getting started.

Our three-bedroom, three bath villas are well-appointed, spacious houses. Rooms with great views of the ocean and break, air conditioning in all bedrooms, a full kitchen and indoor living room, outdoor lounge and dining area under the palapa. See our villas.
Our one-bedroom beachfront casitas have wonderful views of the ocean and the break. They offer air-conditioned interiors, palapa covered kitchens with private dining and lounge areas. If you want to just kick back and absorb the relaxing vibes of our tropical beach paradise Playa La Saladita style, we can arrange to have delicious food prepared for you. Come back from your morning surf session or beach walk to a tasty Mexican breakfast. Top off the day after a gorgeous pacific sunset with a dinner of fresh grilled fish or chiles rellenos. As you approach La Chuparosa you travel through mango orchards and corn fields. The beach is revealed as you enter the property. It is a laid back beautiful curve of tropical coast with rustic open aired restaurants, fishing boats, and a mix of homes and vacation rental spots.
Playa la Saladita is just far enough to give you a wonderful dose of getting away from it all, but it’s only a 45 minute drive from charming Zihuatanejo and the more modern resort of Ixtapa. Check out the classic Mexican mercado and the picturesque harbor in Zihua. Enjoy a whole array of touristic activities in Ixtapa. Just a 20 minute drive south of Playa La Saladita you’ll find yourself in Troncones, another beach town with more yummy local eateries. Check out some of our favorites.
