We are committed to having you enjoy your time in this beautiful place while having the lowest environmental impact possible. We have renewed our efforts on this front and in addition to our solar hot water systems we have installed a 72 panel 3 inverter solar energy system, one of the biggest in the state of Guerrero.
We understand that you’re here on vacation and don’t want to obsess over details, but we ask that you please read below and do your best to follow these important guidelines. With your help La Chuparosa can be comfortable and luxurious as we all preserve this wonderful planet our children and grandchildren will inherit.
Here’s how you can help. We encourage you to go over these guidelines with everyone in your group.
Please make sure that all lights and ceiling fans are turned off when you’re not in the room. Quite often we notice that the fans and lights in the living and dining rooms are left on when nobody is using those areas. At bedtime, take a moment to look around and see that everything downstairs is turned off.
Air-conditioning is a wonderful luxury and uses an enormous amount of electricity. Please use it consciously to take the edge off the heat and humidity for sleeping, but not to make your room into a 24 hour refrigerated zone. Please set the temperature to the highest temperature possible that will support your comfort. Some units are in Fahrenheit (70-76 is a reasonable setting) and some are Celsius (21-24 is reasonable). Do not run the AC when you are not in your room, and please make sure all doors and windows are closed when it is running (our handcrafted shutters sometime make it hard to see the glass window beyond it is open, so please check).
Take advantage of our tropical breezes as often as possible instead of running the unit. Slow down and let your body settle in and relax into our warm air and water. We will thank you, the planet will thank you and your body will thank you!
Please conserve water. Water is a precious resource. Use it wisely. Because the hot water in the villas can take a while to get to your shower from the solar unit, consider using this time to rinse suits etc. and be aware that when it does arrive it can be quite hot. Please let Beto know as soon as possible if there are any leaks, dripping faucets, showers or running toilets in your accommodation. If none of the staff is immediately available, please use the shut off valve near the floor behind the toilet or under the sink until they can assist you. We check all accommodations before you arrive, but a new leak can start at any time and a lot of water can be wasted.
Please make sure that the beach shower is completely off after using it. You may have to tug the cord and let it go again. If it keeps dripping please let someone know. We fix this constantly, but the salt can get in there at any time.
Thank you so much for joining us in our efforts!
